Primary Ballot Sample

The primary election held in August is the chance for voters to help the party they most closely connect with decide which of the candidates running for an office- who all want to be the party's choice for that race- will be on the November ballot.  When you see the primary ballot sample below, only the races that needed a primary were on the ballot (which is why it's much shorter than many other ballots you may see).  You will also notice that both major parties are listed, each in their own column.  The voter much choose one party's column and only vote in races in that column.  Voting in more than one column leads to the voter's ballot not counting.
